About Us
Chris
Renovating the kitchen of mine and my wife’s first home was the beginning of my cabinet making journey. I looked at the poor construction of the existing cabinets, which were original to the house and thought to myself; I could build something better than this!

I had been woodworking ever since taking my first wood shop class in high school. It had always been something that I liked to do and was very skilled at doing. Friends and family requested furniture and cabinets to fit the needs of their homes and I was happy to further hone my skill set and make them beautiful things that they loved (and still have)!

What started out as a hobby in the 1990’s became a full-time job by the turn of the new century. I gave up my day job and ventured into making custom cabinets and furniture full time. I also dabbled in contracting work to finish site work jobs and provide full service to customers as the demands gained momentum.

A lot has changed over the years since I began this journey. The technology and hardware, such as soft close hinges, drawer slides and inserts has made cabinet manufacturing so much more advanced! The final pieces produced with new tools and all the latest hardware and inserts has been even more functional and beautiful then before.

We recently added a CNC machine to the shop which increases efficiency and allows us to offer CNC Services to other professionals. We at Ridgewood Cabinet Shop are moving into more advanced manufacturing and increased quality for the future as we continue to grow.
